Aum Namah Shivaya Everyone, As a special Guru Purnima seva offering at Amma's lotus feet, we are coming together as a community to support those in urgent need. Severe wildfires across Northern Ontario have completely wiped out homes and community infrastructure in places like the Collins First Nation. Meanwhile, the Neskantaga First Nation was forced to evacuate due to intense smoke and critical supply chain disruptions. Wildfires closed Highway 599, severing the vital route used to transport the community's food, medicine, and bottled water. Heavy smoke then grounded supply flights, leaving families without necessities like baby formula before they were evacuated. Many families had to leave with only minutes to pack basic belongings.
We are coming together as a community to raise urgent relief funds to support these displaced families during this critical time.
Why We Are Raising Funds via True North Aid: To ensure our help reaches those in immediate need safely and efficiently, all funds raised through this campaign go directly to True North Aid, a registered Canadian charity providing practical humanitarian assistance to northern Indigenous communities.
